NYC Rescued Kitties is a self-funded, registered not-for-profit,  and all-volunteer feline rescue group. For over a decade we have been rescuing cats off the streets to vet, fix, feed, foster, and love them until we can find them good forever homes. We often take care of over a hundred cats at a time and we are a strictly non-kill institution. We believe there is a perfect home for every cat and that each cat has something to teach or to contribute to a human being’s life. We believe this so strongly that we’ve devoted ourselves entirely to continue this mission.

We could help even more by operating a thrift shop and/or adoption center to raise money for abandoned and stray cats while finding homes for them. Up until now, we’ve been having to show cats on the sidewalks of NYC, but this is less than ideal, especially when the weather is cold. A storefront or other indoor space will offer us an opportunity to safely show the cats for adoption events and raise critically needed funds on a regular basis. Can you or someone you know help us make our dream come true?

What’s stopping us now are funds. We need at least $20,000 to remain fully operational in 2014. This money will be used to care for our cats; to pay our ever mounting vet bills, to buy cat food and other needed supplies. Any contribution you can make, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and will go a very long way in helping to keep New York City Rescued Kitties going in the years to come.
